For the first time in what seems absolutely ages, there will be FIS ski racing in Scotland, thanks to the improved snow record in recent seasons. The first of two weekend competitions is the Scottish FIS races on the 5th & 6th of March, with the North East FIS races on the 16th & 17th of April. Both events are set to take place at CairnGorm Mountain Centre. In fact, there are a whole avalanche of events in Scotland over the next few weekends. Glenshee hosts the Scottish Snowcross Champs this weekend, followed the next weekend by the Scottish Masters. The second weekend in March also sees comps at The Lecht ski tests at Glenshee.
