So much snow at this time of the year is surely a harbinger to a good snow season! The weekend saw more bitterly cold temperatures and the snow fall has continued for most of this week.
Les Arcs, Vald’isere, Meribel, La Plagne and Tignes are all opening much earlier this year – offering skiers and boarders the chance to get a pre-christmas trip on some very fresh snow!
We have opened our chalets that bit earlier too – and our Trainer weeks offer you the chance of a cut price holiday and a free liftpass in exchange for our newly trained staff. We are running these in Les Arcs 2000 and Tignes which get good snow in summer-time, so you can imagine how well they are skiing at the moment.
This photo was taken today (11th Nov, 2009) at Les Arcs 2000. The photographer, Rob from our French Office, spoke of skiers ascending the mountain on skins (the lifts are not yet open) and enjoying some incredible skiing on the fresh snow that is literally everywhere!
Quick Fact:
Les Arcs is a truly great resort and always offers the best snow with its high altitude and abundance of north facing slopes. Linked to the Paradiski – and neighbouring La Plagne, the skiing and boarding is very extensive and offers lots more variety than most ski areas.
