Liberal Democrat SMP Jamie Stone was championing proposals from over twenty years ago to develop the Ross-shire mountain. However, the Scotsman is now reporting that the economist responsible for the 1989 feasibility study is branding the project as unrealistic. In a report, Mr Tony Mackay felt that the recent season’s good snow falls were insufficient t o guarantee the new resorts viability: “The last two winters have produced more snow but next year we could well revert to the previous trend.”
