New lift for Tignes Les Brevieres – UPDATE
First off, this is not a ski lift but it is a lift for skiers. Confused? You won't be. The new lift, currently well into it's construction phase, will link the area served by the Montee des Haute des Brevieres directly to the edge of the Tignes Les Brevieres village.

Vassiliki Watersports Festival holidays
As if any extra incentive were necessary to lure Ocean Elements' guests to our Vassiliki Bay watersports centre on the Greek Island of Lefkas, one is nonetheless looming. The 5th running of the Vassiliki Watersports Festival is just around the corner, and 2011 sees quite an array of on and off water events packed into it’s timetable.
Race to the Azores and Back
After nearly nine days at sea our 40’ Arcona has made it to the Azores. Crewed by James and Peter Hardiman, she is competing in the Azores and Back race, known as the Azab. This race covers nearly 2,500 miles from Falmouth, into the Atlantic, to the Azores and then back again.
New French Motorway speeds traffic to Trois Vallees
The new motorway section linking Geneva and Annecy has finally opened to traffic. This is great news for us at Alpine Elements as it means we can get guests to the Trois Vallees in a little over two hours!
New Copenhagen Ski Slope
Interesting ski slope concept from BIG, in Copenhagen. A new waste power station to have a 500m long (333,370 sq ft) ski slope on it's roof!
Ocean Elements’ boat completes 500 mile qualifier
Our 40 foot Arcona, the Ocean Elements / iGOSKi / Alpine Elements supported ‘Fluke’, has been on a 500 mile non-stop trial in preparation for the Azores and back race

Olympic Games bid gets more money
One of the bidders for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games has just announced that it has signed deals with six new commercial partners. The €3million deals include luxury goods conglomerate Louis Vuiton Moët Hennesey (LVMH), and the French flag carrier Air France.
Ski slope gets go ahead
Planning permission has been given to what will be Europe’s largest indoor snow slope. Louth council have given it’s developers the green light to go ahead with the combined Leisure & Casino project, which will be located just off the M1 motorway, near to Dundalk.
