

ASH CLOUD STATEMENT:
My team and I hope that our returning guests (April 19th) enjoyed their holidays and arrived safely back to the UK without too much inconvenience.
Bringing several plane loads back to the UK via coach has been a very difficult task to administrate, and I am pleased that my staff have really pulled out all the stops in such a short time to organise the mass-repatriation!
Coaches from both France and the UK had to be contracted in order to deal with the volume. With over a million Brits still thought to be stranded abroad and the unlikely event that airspace will re-open in the near future, I hope that guests are in agreement with our decision to coach guests back.
I hope that our service and response has been to everyone’s satisfaction.

I arrived back home about an hour ago and I have to say that I am very pleased with how Alpine Elements reacted to the current flight ban situation. All of the people I spoke with on the journey back agreed that Alpine Elements had handled the situation very well. Even those that had been taken back to Gatwick rather than the airport they fly out from were pleased with the service.

Dear Alpine Elements – Thank you so much for organising our return journey – I congratulate you on the efficiency and helpfulness of all your team. We are home only 20 hours later than originally expected, and that is thanks to your care and quick response to the situation. I must also say the staff in Chaminox were really pleasant and made us feel welcome. This venture could have been a disaster because I took my grandchildren for their first ski holiday this week – and it was just the three of us – but thanks to your recommendation of the Evolution 2 ski school for morning lessons it was ideal. We had read bad reviews of Boule De Neige, but we were very lucky and had the best room in the hotel, and got on really well with the other families there so the children were happy. The hotel is very basic, but that is what we were expecting and it served us well. Thanks again to you and your staff.

I know my wife will be writing seperately but she came back today full of enthusiasm for all that Alpine Elements laid on – from the excellent and thoughtful staff in Les Arcs, to the high standard of food and the care that was taken by the resort manager and by Head Office. It was a great decision to coach them back – and by making the decision early you saved a lot of heartache – really appreciated. I did hear that some guests over the season have been rude and demanding – and I think that certain ones in my wifes chalet would have tested the patience of even a Saint, yet by all accounts your “Seasonaires” throughout Les Arcs rose above it and continued to provide a high quality and professional service. Reading previous reports about Alpine Elements in 2008 and hearing the rave reviews from today, you should take pride in turning the organisation round

Many thanks to all at Alpine Elements for our excellent holiday in Arc 2000, Les Arcs, France (4-11 April 2010). To the office based staff for dealing with issues promptly and effectively
(especially yourself, Laure and Mike) and for our staff hosts in resort – Ollie and Charlie. The company has a customer focused philosophy which shone throughout our dealings.
We will certainly look at what is available with you next year.
