Altitude Comedy Festival moves from Meribel
The recent silence surrounding Meribel’s Altitude Comedy Festival has now been explained. After the withdrawl of support from the comedy festival by Meribel, the organisers have reluctantly decided that the event will have to move to survive. Having gained a high media profile with the likes of Al Murray, Marcus Brigstocke and Andrew Marshall on stage, the festival is moving to Austria.
According to planetski, Mayrhofen will be the new venue for what will most likely be a slightly cut-down festival. The Austrian resort is already home to the well established Snowbombing music festival, and Altitude will take place during next year’s Snowbombing: 4-9 April. This will be the 11th Snowbombing, and they’ve announced The Prodigy as their first live headline act! They could just leave it there I reckon; that should be an amazing gig.
