Our holidays include complimentary tuition from beginner to expert level from our RYA instructors. Our beach hotel is a fully kitted training centre where you can come away with a certificate for your week on the water.


Group 1 - Beginners
Even if you have never seen a boat or board before then don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to enjoy being on the water. If you have sailed before but can’t quite remember how to turn around, then we recommend you start your week in the beginner group.  You may then find that after a day of beginner tuition everything falls into place and you’d like to move to the intermediate group, that’s no problem.

Group 2 & 3 - Intermediates
This group is for sailors and windsurfers who are able to sail upwind, downwind, tack and gybe. Tuition will include fine tuning those tacks and gybes and introducing new skills. For example windsurfers will start to look at beach starts, harness work, foot straps  and planning.

Group 4 – Advanced
This group is for confident sailors and windsurfers. Tuition for windsurfers will include carve gybing, popping and waterstarts.

Flexible Tuition
Our instructors in resort can help advise you as to which group is best suited to your needs. At the start of the week the instructors will ask if you have any specific tuition requests and if so lessons will then be tailored to suit these requests.

You may want to join different groups at different points during the week, this is no problem. For example we understand that an intermediate windsurfer may like to do a Group 3 footstrap lesson one day and a Group 4 waterstart lesson the next. It’s your holiday, you choose.

Group tuition runs for 2.5 hours 5 days a week. Generally the beginners will go out in the mornings  and other groups will go out in the afternoons. However, this will always depend on conditions, the instructors will ensure that they choose the best wind conditions for the skill they are teaching.

Outside of lessons instructors are always on hand to offer tips and advice.

Private tuition
Private tuition is available inresort and treated as a paid for extra in resort.
