AN ACTIVE SPORTS CENTRE

Vassiliki is one of Europe’s finest active sports resorts and a very famous windsurf destination offering dinghy sailing and many other watersports for all levels.

The mountains surrounding “Vass” provide alternative activities with stunning walks, (with a guide if preferred), culture tours, island trips, boat trips and great terrain for mountain bikers of all levels.We also stock some of the latest 2011 Kona bikes at our hotel for you to use all week.

ACTIVITIES FOR YOU TO TRY

Our beach front hotel is stacked full of all the latest 2011 windsurf kit, sailing dinghies, suspension mountain bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and more - which are free for our guests to use!

We also offer windsurf and dinghy sailing tuition for all guests and is again offered free for all using our own in-house RYA instructors. Plus we offer free mountain bike guiding around the superb tracks and trails of Lefkas.

RESORT LIFE

Situated just 15 mins walk down from our hotel is the main strip of Vassiliki town, a pretty harbour side village with bars and Tavernas which can buzz with life during the evenings!

The Greeks tend to eat late and stay up late, talking and dancing. However the Tavernas will serve food all day long, so don’t worry if your appetite needs feeding earlier in the day!

All bars sell European beers such as Mythos, Amstel and Heineken which are extremely palatable and very reasonably priced.

If you are looking for a party then The Zeus Bar is the place to head, it can be known to thump away through the night into the early hours. For a quieter drink there are several cafes along the harbour front or the popular Tunnel Bar and Vass Bar. All bars tend to stay open until the last person leaves.

If you feel up to a drop of the local tractor juice then Ouzo runs like tap water from most establishments - and the best bit is that you don’t have to get up early the next day to get the best wind conditions!

EATING OUT IN RESORT

Eating out is by far the most popular option in Vass. This is simply because the local restaurant staff are so friendly and the harbour setting unbeatable. The charming and quaint little Tavernas that line the harbour in Vass will offer a waterside view and serve all kinds of delightful, local cuisine from Moussaka to Greek Salad and Pizza to Fresh Fish. Maybe try starting with a superb Saganaki or some Mussels and French Fries. The food is all very reasonably priced.

Greek hospitality is still very good in these parts and you will be made to feel especially welcome. The general cuisine may be quite a simple fare but is always very good and guaranteed to suit all diets and fill any appetite!
