Watersports for all

Vassiliki & Nidri are two of Europe’s finest active sports resorts and a very famous windsurfing and dinghy sailing destination with consistent winds and conditions to suit all levels. Our hotel is stocked with the latest 2012 windsurf kit, and sail boats from Laser, Topper and RS. We also offer windsurf and dinghy sailing tuition for all levels (1-3 and advanced) and is again offered free for all using our own in-house RYA instructors.

Other Activities

The mountains and beaches around Lefkada provide stunning walks, bike rides, culture tours, island trips, boat trips and impressive mountain terrain for mountain for bikers of all levels. We also stock some of the latest 2012 Kona bikes at our hotel for you to use all week. 

About the Island

Lefkada is situated within the centre of the main Ionian Islands and is the only island linked to mainland Greece via a bridge. The Island has a lot to offer, but it's fair to say that it's main draw are it's lovely weather and warm waters, which make it the ideal destination for an active beach and watersports holiday. Our 2 resorts, Nidri and Vassiliki are pretty harbour towns hosting bars and tavernas, which always buzz with life during the evenings.
 

Nightlife

The nightlife is varied in both Vassiliki and Nidri to cater for all tastes, whether you just fancy a relaxing meal at one of the seafront restaurants & tavernas or whether you're after a full on party with dancing and drinking till the early hours. In Vassiliki Zeus bar is the place to head to dance away until the early hours. Nidri is the largest resort on the Island, so plays host to a lot more bars and discos, such as the Divine Bar & Sail Inn. 

If you feel up to a drop of the local 'tractor juice' then Ouzo runs like tap water from most establishments - and the best bit is that you don’t have to get up early the next day to get the best wind conditions!

Eating out in resort

Eating out is by far the most popular option in Vass & Nidri. This is simply because the local restaurant staff are so friendly and the harbour setting unbeatable. The charming and quaint little Tavernas that line the harbour will offer a waterside view and serve all kinds of delightful, local cuisine from Moussaka to Greek Salad and Pizza to Fresh Fish. Maybe try starting with a superb Saganaki or some Mussels and French Fries. The food is all very reasonably priced.

Greek hospitality is still very good in these parts and you will be made to feel especially welcome. The general cuisine may be quite a simple fare but is always very good and guaranteed to suit all diets and fill any appetite!
