Beach Fitness

Our holidays aren't all about sailing, windsurfing and mountain biking. If you want to push yourself a little further or combine our fitness programme with your watersports and biking, then organised fitness classes will not only prepare you, but teach you some handy tips for exercising, warming up or simply relaxing the body and mind. There are plenty of fitness sessions to keep you active, from relaxing stretch classes to more intensive interval training sessions - and everything in between!

Which Beachclub offers what?

Each of our Beach Clubs offers a different fitness programme, see our handy reference table below for more information on what happens at each club.

 


Surf Hotel Beach Club, Vassiliki

Our Surf Hotel Beach Club is our flagship fitness centre, and our dedicated fitness instructor leads an array of activities, on and off the water, to keep you in top condition. As with all centres, our Paddleboards are great for guests wanting to try cross fitness and a relaxing workout of core muscles.

Our inclusive fitness programme will run two sessions a day (morning and evening) and includes a wide range of relaxing, high energy and conditioning classes - SUP Yoga, Stretch & Relax, Aqua Fit, Bootcamp and more, often using the beach our pool or the sea. We also organise jogs and runs through the beautiful local area for keen guests wanting to run in company. NEW for 2016 is the introduction of daily yoga classes in the Surf Hotel, (not for peak season), taking place in our peaceful and private Sky Lounge which enjoys elevated views over Vassiliki bay. 


Nautica Bay, Porto Heli

Our Nautica bay Beach Club doesn’t run fitness clubs but the swimming pool is a great way to stay fit. The Club has two tennis courts and plenty of quality racquets and balls for you to use free of charge. We offer free use of paddleboards (in all clubs) which are great to give your core muscles an inner workout and for cross fitness routines for your sailing and windsurfing. They're also a very relaxing way of cruising the bay and discovering the sights.

 

Leda Beach Club, Pelion

At our Leda club you'll also find a tennis court and racquets and balls are provided by the club reception. You can also use the free paddleboards for cross fitness and relaxing paddles around the bay, or join one of our Paddle Cruises to explore further afield. There is also a great sandy beach volleyball court within the hotel grounds which gets regular use by sociable groups of guests.

Guests have the opportunity to join yoga sessions from a dedicated yoga facility on-site which looks out over the sea from a tranquil part of the Beach Club, as well as Zumba and Aqua Aerobics classes throughout the week. Dates for yoga, Zumba and Aqua Aerobics are very limited, can incur a small supplement and are often subject to minimum participant numbers.

Yoga

Yoga classes will take place in the Surf Hotel's Sky Lounge, and most days in the Leda Beach Club’s dedicated facility which looks out over the islands of Tricori.* We often take to Paddleboards to spice things up, and Yoga is a calming and energizing way to begin your day. Classes are tailored to the abilities of those attending, and everyone is welcome. All yoga sessions incur a small local charge. See here for more details.

Morning Stretch and Stretch & Relax

Whether you are limbering up for an action-packed day on the water, or you simply want to prepare for a day by the pool, our daily stretches in our Surf Hotel in Vassiliki are an ideal way to ease yourself into the day's activities. Likewise, the instructor leading our low-intensity Stretch & Relax class will help minimise any stress you've put your body through on a board, boat or bike!

Tennis

Our Nautica Bay and Leda Beach Clubs offer tennis facilities for you to enjoy and are very popular with guests. We can supply racquets and balls and organise guests into a singles or doubles if they need a partner.

SUP Yoga & Fitness

Our SUP fitness programme in Vassiliki has been extended to include SUP Yoga! Paddle boarding is already a fantastic core exercise, so by adding some key yoga moves you have a workout guaranteed to push some limits. SUP Yoga will take place in the calm, clear waters in front of the Surf Hotel and make the most of this natural yoga studio. These challenging, but tranquil, classes are open to all abilities and will often incorporate a short paddle around the bay as a warm up.

AquaFit, Bootcamp & Running

Our Fitness Leader in Vassiliki runs a variety of low, medium and high intensity classes, which are free for you to join at any point through the week. The programme varies by day, with classes held in the pool, resort grounds, on the beach and making the most of the local area. Join a group run or jog around the olive groves, work on your core and strength in a bootcamp session or get your blood pumping with an Aqua Fit class.
