Just thought i'd drop you a quick note to say thanks very much for a great trip !
It all went very smoothly re. flights and transfers, the hotel was fine (quite basic but as expected from a 2* hotel) and the food was tasty and plentiful. Could you pass on our thanks to the staff at the resort as well. Cheers

This was our first family activity holiday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.Our children,11 and 10, were the only ones there but were perfectly happy to play pool and monopoly in the evenings and are keen to return. the food was really good, - good quality and well cooked

The food was wholesome, hot, and the portions were generous. The staff were excellent, they were helpful, polite and friendly, as were the majority of the guests who all helped to make this holiday a sociable and fun week.

I have recently had the good fortune to partake of a holiday via Alpine Elements and would like to express how much I and my wife enjoyed the holiday. We stayed in the HOtel Chamois and were highly impressed with all elements of the stay. The hotel is as you know not a 5* but these young, well managed staff provide a 5* service. Having stayed in hotels claiming to be of a higher rating they have much to learn from Alpine Elements who made every effort to keep the guests provided for.

he food was fantastic and worthy of a much more expensive hotel. The position of the hotel was perfect and generally we had a great time.

Apologises for late reply. I did book a holiday with Alpine Elements and arrived home yesterday. It was a brilliant holiday and all the staff at Hotel Chamois in Lets Gets were excellent!

I hope this feedback can be passed on

We were greeted by all the hotel staff, who asked us if we needed help with our luggage etc, and we were taken to our room, which seemed perfect. Nice and clean, and warm- very warm!
Having never been on a half board basis holiday, I thought the food was really good. Great breakfast to set you up for the day, afternoon cake was a bonus and the 3 course meal of an evening went down really well.

“Excellent value would definitely recommend to activity seekers in alps”
Meals were excellent - the chef Robert was truly excellent and we were treated to three course dinners which you would find hard to fault in either presentation, taste or amount. Breakfasts were excellent with a cooked option every day (ranging from scrambled eggs and beans, bacon and sausage, French toast, banana pancakes) with a porridge option and three other cereals every morning as well as unlimited amounts of fresh baguette and some mornings there were croissants and pain au chocolat too, as well as yoghour/fromage frais. Another great thing was that from 2-6 every afternoon, fresh baguettes and cake-of-the-day (cake made on site) were put out for guests to help themselves so no one ever went hungry. Tea and coffee were always available night and day.

The hotel itself is cosy, very central (about 10 mins walk from the chair lift to Mont Chery which is a must) or to Chavannes (lift up, walk or cycle down only) and central to all the shops and supermarket of Les Gets.

I must say I was totally impressed by the staff....many young people on gap years or on uni holidays ....a bright, hard-working and cheery bunch who always showed a genuine interest in our days events. If you met a staff member anywhere in or out of the hotel they would stop for a chat and this informal behaviour did not seem to interfere at any times with their duties. Food service was good, rooms were clean, bar service was prompt. The bike mechanics were helpful and the package of bike rental, rafting, multipass etc was an unbelievable deal. Being able to use the cable car and chair lifts as often as you like, use the local buses, the lake for swimming, entry to the mechanical music museum, ice skating and a whole host of other activities with the multipass was tremendous value.

Small areas for improvement could be more info about the activities and what was needed eg finding out what to wear for rafting - needed to ask this, it wasnt written anywhere so maybe the noticeboard could give a bit more detail. Also arriving in Chamonix for the day trip in the pouring rain with no idea what to do - could have done with a bit of help in planning activities beyond just having a street map. Family (orange) mountain bike trail to Morzine was not as easy as we were led to believe so perhaps the mountain bike trails need to be re-graded a little as others I spoke to felt the steep gravelly narrow paths were not suitable for beginners...........the website shows a photo of a family cycling along a flat, wide, meadow path which was what I assumed would be the green trail described as "very easy" but I never got past the "family" trail. So be warned that the biking is not for novices! No pool table in the hotel anymore so be aware of this but there are TVs in the lounge and I loved the friendly atmosphere that got most guests chatting every evening and made the whole experience much more like being with friends than in a formal hotel setting. Chalet staff really do everything to make your stay pleasurable and considering how young many of them are, show wisdom and enterprise well beyond their years!
