FREE ACTIVITIES:

Activity Pass:
Our FREE Activity Pass is offered with all holidays (as well as Mtn bike hire & Rafting) and comes with access to Swimming pools, Jacuzzi, ice skating, Lifts for Walking & Hiking, Adventure Park, Tennis, Bumper Cars (on ice) and the luge!

The pass is restricted to a value of activities that does not exceed 60 euros.

As an example - This can include (per couple):
2 x swimming pool = €9
2 x ice skating = €12
2 x summer luge = €6
2 x single lift to 2100m = €10 (walking/hiking)
2 x jacuzzi = €15
2 x tennis = €8

The first 60 euros is free. If more activities are required, guests can top up the card or pay the supplier direct.

ACTIVITY DISCOUNTS:
We can offer guests a further discount of £20 (pp) on their holiday price if they choose not to take the Rafting element of our complimentary Activity package. You will still get Mtn Bike Hire though

General Activity Information

Summer Ski
Open from: 12th /13th June to 29th August 2010. From 7.15am to 1.30 or 2.00pm every day. Times are a guide. 200 ski-able hectares on the glacier in summer makes this the largest and highest ski-able glacier in the French Alps

Mountainbiking
Les 2 Alpes has always been a mecca for mountain bikers. There are hundreds of kms of tracks and trails plus 100 Km of French Cycling Federation (FFC) marked runs between an altitude of 3200 metres and 700 metres. Expect a downhill tracks and park for riders of all abilities.

10 lifts adapted for Mountain bikers, 31 marked routes inc. 26 downhill and 5 cross country courses, plus a special bike park for Freestyle: Four Cross, dirt, Northshore, walls, tables...

The whole resort lives and breathes Mtn biking: specialist shops, mechanic services, bike washes, bike parks & courses, bike schools and secure storage in our hotels

Guided walks and hikes are available each day for a variety of fitness and abilities
• Individual price: 15 € for a 1⁄2 day, 22 € for a full day
• Group price: 130 € for a 1⁄2 day, 168 € for a full day (12 people. max)

Via Ferrata
Walking and climbing / scrambling over mountain terrain with the aid of ropes, ladders, wires and pre-set climbing aids. No skills required.

• Individual price: from 50 €
• Group price (4 people max): 175 €

Glacier walks and treks
Experience the glacier with crampons, ice axes with a guide – medium to average fitness only required
• Individual price: 65 €
• Group price (6 people max): 280 €

Climbing
Climbing suits all ages over 6 years and will include instruction with abseiling and belaying techniques as well as climbing ascents and traverses.

• Individual price: 30 € for a 1⁄2 day.

Les 2 Alpes climbing wall: Afternoon opening from Monday to Friday.
• Private lesson: 35 € / hour
Or a supervised session, 45 minutes: 10 € adult, 8 € child.

The Snow Cruise
Discover the glacier up to 3600m aboard a caterpillar tracked bus. A great experience for all and stunning views at altitude

The Ice Cave
The ice caves were dug in 1993 and are the longest in the world. They sit 30 metres under the surface of the Glacier. They feature ice sculptures and large cartoon characters and local history and traditions from years ago.
 
Walking
Some very fine alpine walking and hiking in beautiful country side over the Oisans region and Ecrins National Park visit which take in local nature and stunning alpine scenery. Use the ski lifts to access high vantage points and cover many miles easily and stop at mountain restaurants en route to sample some simply wonderful local cuisine.Guided walks or self guided walks use maps that we can provide.

Paragliding
Flying high in the thermals above the valley floor with an instructor to show  you an exhilarating ride. Flights last up to 20-30 mins and cost from 50 euros

2 Alpes Tennis Academy
Some of our hotels do have tennis courts for free use by guests, or you may take tennis lessons available with fully qualified instructors in resort.

Courses run from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Costs
• Group mini-tennis course (5 to 7 years) 1 hr: 70 €
• Private course 1 hr: 120 €
• Private lesson 1 hr: 30 €
• Court hire 1 hr: 5 € without equipment or 8 € with equipment rental (balls + rackets).


Horse riding
Horse riding to suit all levels across mountain tracks and trails and taking in wonderful alpine scenery. Lessons are available and experienced riders welcome. Prices start at £35

Windsurfing & Sailing
For a change try windsurfing or catamaran sailing on the Chambon Lake.  Open throughout the summer, all day, every day from 10am to 8pm.

White Water Sports

Experience the thrill of white water with guides and instructors on hand. All safety kit provided – just bring some old trainers. Thrilling and suited to all ages from 8 and up. Participants need to be good swimmers.

Open from June 15th to September 15th, from 9 am to 7.30 pm.

RAFTING: beginner session (45 mins) 19 €, 1⁄2 day (2hrs) 39€, full-day 59 €

HYDRO-SPEED: 1⁄2 day (2 hrs) 39 €

CANYONING: 1⁄2 day from 39 €, full-day from 69 €

HOT-DOG (canoe-raft) and AIR-BOAT (kayak-raft): beginner session (1 hr) 25 €,
advance level (1/2 day) 45 €

Bungee jumping
Try a bungee jump experience from the cable car in Les 2 Alpes for the ultimate adrenaline rush! It is one of the highest bungees in Europe - at 140 metres, and located at an altitude of 2,200 metres.

Aventure Park
And not just for kids!
Situated in the forest near Venosc village, with a variety of courses for all ages – 8 years and up. Tunnels, monkey bridge, suspended ladder, double zip-line, bungee, scrambling net, hanging logs, roped wall, balancing beam ..A games area is also available for children under 8 years.

Robocoaster avalanche – techno twister
5 head-spinning and thrilling rides for most ages!
Every day from 10 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 7.30 pm, 10 pm on some days. Price: 5 €

Quad Bikes
Quad bikes for all ages in the Alps and mini quads for kids A great fun day out as a solo, couple or small group of friends. The alps  - A safe circuit with several race tracks on offer.

Golf
A 9-hole, par 64, 2200 metre golf course: 40-bay driving range.

Swimming
Swimming is included on the Activity Pass . There are municipal pools - Les 2 Alpes Aqua Centre is open every day, from 3 pm to 8 pm and from 2.15 pm to 8 pm in the event of bad weather

Dévalkart
Immense fun! Buzz down a mountain track in Go-Karts for all ages! Race your friends from 8 years and up.

Summer tobogganing
Alpette chair lift. From 10.30 am to 12.15 pm and from 1.30 pm to 7.30 pm (high season times). Night time sessions until 10 pm, 2 to 3 times a week.
