Mountain Biking France
Experience true Mountain biking in France over tracks and trails which are suitable for all levels of rider. The French and Italian Alps offer some of the best biking in the world and the use of ski lifts allow bikers to enjoy the thrill of Downhill and Cross Country biking without the uphill slog!

Beginners and intermediates
Our bike programme is designed for all levels of rider and we can provide the perfect introduction to beginners or intermediates wanting to cut their teeth on some real bike trails! We offer free bike maps, each ride will be clearly described with a route, duration and level of difficulty.
You are welcome to go and explore the local terrain yourself, but we would always advise that you ride with at least one other person and inform our staff of your intended route and ETA.
Downhill or Singletrack riding
Try long Singletrack downhill rides lasting for over 20kms. Or the man-made Downhill courses with humps, jumps, banks and berms - courses that range in difficulty so everyone can give it a go! Many of the famous Downhill courses will have 'chicken runs' around any technical bits to allow the beginner riders to experience the real deal.
Children and Biking
We offer free kids bike hire for ages 5-10 in Morzine and Les Gets. Bikes are given free on a first come first served basis, therefore is subject to availability. However for guaranteed kids bikes, you may pre-book for £40/week.
All resorts offer a range of rides to suit children from age 6+. Our resort staff can advise where to go and which rides to try. Chamonix offers some fantastic riding on the valley floor, and a variety of green runs suitable for families and young riders.
Les Gets and Morzine have a dedicated Kid’zone for riders age 6+ which is reserved for youngsters to learn the basics of MTB techniques; with a mini park of banked corners, humps and whoops.
Leisure and Road Biking
Of course Mountain Biking in the Alps is not only for the serious Down hill and Cross Country riders out there! Alpine bike rides can be enjoyed by everyone including families and young children who perhaps want a more sedate ride along mountain trails and tracks among some of the most spectacular scenery in the world!
A more sedate cycle
The Alps are a beautiful place to cycle and using the lift systems, bikers will find easy trails at altitude, or simply some of the most awe inspiring road biking in Europe. We can rent bikes from £15 a day for casual biking that may include trips to the lake, with lunch stops or just pottering around resort. Often this is all that many of our family guests require.
