Lake Achensee and Rattenberg

Travel along the Inn Valley to the Tyrol's largest lake, Lake Achensee. A steam train ride and boat trip is possible there (optional). Some trips will also visit Rattenberg, famous for its crystal glass production.
This excursion can be pre-booked in advance of your holiday. The beautiful Lake Achensee is surrounded by forest, and is the largest and most stunning of all the Tirolean lakes. It measures approx 9-10 kms long and flanked by the imposing peaks of the Karwendelgebirge, the Rofangebirge and Sonnwendgebirge.

Salzburg

Salzburg is the birthplace of Mozart, and situated on the banks of the Salzach river. The old town, (Altstadt), is characterised by its baroque towers and churches. Salzburg is home to the impressive Fortress Hohensalzburg and of course some excellent shopping within the very famous shopping street – Getreidegasses. A city guide (which is optional) will provide an informative tour on foot of the various buildings and cultural sites.
Innsbruck

A very enjoyable visit to Innsbruck, the capital of the state of Tyrol in Austria, which is located in a broad valley surrounded by an impressive range of mountains, the Nordkette, Patscherkofel and Serles. There will be free time to enjoy the sights from the Cathedral to the Golden Roof, and of course shopping within its lovely town centre.
Krimml Waterfalls

Visit Europe’s tallest waterfalls which at a height of 380 metres are also the 5th largest in the world. They were awarded the European Diploma for Nature Conservation in 1967 as one of Austria’s most outstanding natural features. Set amidst the Hohe Tauern National Park there may be a small extra entrance fee.
Lake Garda

Italy’s largest and prettiest inland lake which is surrounded by the impressive Mount Baldo and a plethora of colourful and historic villages, the promenades of which line its shore and offer a cultural attraction with shopping, bars and cafes. The lake offers sunbathing and swimming from its shingle beaches, as well as good coffee, (naturally!), and great eating within its beautiful Italian villages. Walkers and bikers will find specially marked trails along the shore, or within olive groves and the mountains that flank its shore.
