About Hotel Christiania

The ‘Christy’, as we affectionately call it, is a warm and welcoming hotel operated exclusively by us for mountain- loving Brits and families in summer. It’s right in the resort centre, just 50 metres from the main Chavannes lifts and trails, and a short walk from the lovely lake at Les Gets. We run it with a team of fantastic staff who are here to give you an unforgettable holiday. In fact, they’re so good they won an award for their outstanding service recently.

We run a Mountain Bike Centre from the hotel so it suits guests who prefer biking as their main activity. However, the hotel is just as suited to alpinists, walkers and families looking for a rounded break in this glorious family resort.

Why Choose Hotel Christiania?

Les Gets is #1 for biking!

The Christy is just 50 metres from the best bike trails and lifts in resort and les Gets (as a host to the Mountain bike World Cup) has arguably the best trails and facilities in the Portes du Soleil for visiting bikers.

More on Mountain biking

The lake is very close by

Les Gets has its own beautiful lake, a short walk from our hotel and is a great spot for wild swimming, sun bathing, kids games and activities like the famous Wi-Bit inflatables. There’s also a bigger lake near Morzine (on the free bus route) which is ideal for kayaking and paddle boarding

Save £s with Active Lite

At the Christy, (and only the Christy), we offer you the option to take fewer (free) activities for a further holiday discount. This suits keen bikers or those not interested in our activities, who perhaps want to freestyle it a bit more and choose their own activities!

Active Lite

For our MTB Centre

The Christy is our ‘MTB Centre’ which basically means there's more facilities for keen bikers: like a guest-use workshop, free use of E-bikes for a day, free transfer of your bike on our coach trailer from airport and a pro-level jet wash facility, (i.e. a proper jet wash!). It also gives the not-so-hardcore bikers and families a nicer introduction to the biking - so it’s not just for the experts!

MTB Centre

For Families

Les Gets is a great bike resort but it’s also a family resort through and through. It has family activities, cultural sites of interest and lots of family walks and bike rides (even using the lifts). The Christy doesn't offer a Kids Club, but we have a selection of family rooms (interconnecting suites) and a welcoming, fun atmosphere which brings like minded British families and kids together in the holiday period.
